recently i was watching bernama news from 7.30 to 8.00pm... one announcement which caught my eye was about Malaysia being ranked no 36 according to the GTI(Global Talent Index).... USA was ranked no1... and GTI even predicted that Malaysia's ranking will drop to no 39 in 2015.... it says that the government have to implement a fairer meritocracy in order to attract young talent to return to Malaysia....this includes fair job opportunities and promotions.. it also reports that 20% of Malaysians who complete their tertiary education migrate to either Singapore or western countries like Aus,UK,US,Germany,New Zealand as the common ones.... recent announcement by PM to award scholarships for those who scored 8A+ and above is a good move which i applaud but will continue until 2020..in addition to that the goverment has to also provide fairer job opportunities and promotions , better pay scale, reduce oil prices, reduce income tax, reduce corruption and the most controversial one is to partially abolish NEP where necessary... if this can be done then nothing is impossible for malaysia and trust me our goal of becoming a developed industrial nation with high income status would become reality....." Such steps are necessary to retain the talents in our country so that there knowledge and skills could be contributed directly in our conquest to attain the status as a developed nation with a much higher income nation status...well said blogger
